Mr. Harry Guinocor, PT, DPT, MS, MBA
President

Harry has been an active member of FILAMemphis, Inc. for almost 20 years. He has served the organization in different capacities including as the PRO, various Committee Chairs, Chairman of the Board, and now as the President. He envisions FILAMemphis, Inc. to be involved with community building projects not only within the Filipino-American community, but also in the greater Memphis and Shelby County community. Harry is a licensed Physical Therapist since 1990. He also had worked at a non-profit agency for 12 years and held an executive position for five years. He is currently a Managing Partner of a physical therapy private practice.

Mrs. Alexis Corcoran

Social Culture Committee Chair

Alexis is currently serving as the Vice President of our organization. A member since 2016, she enjoys working with our various committees planning events and occasions while mentoring the youth of FILAMemphis, Inc. to help ensure education, inclusion and diversity are observed in our Philippine-American culture.

Mrs. Rosalie Lechner

Membership Committee Chair

Rose is from Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte. A resident of Frayser since 2006, she holds a BSBA Marketing degree from Mindanao State University in Marawi. From 2018-2020, she has been an active member of FILAMemphis, Inc. serving on the Membership and Hospitality Committee. Energetic and dedicated to help others, her interests are in art and photography. As the current Secretary and Membership Committee chair, Rose will continue to help the association to keep focus and work towards a goal that will benefit the entire FILAM community.

Mrs. Rose Michelle C. Jamias
Treasurer

Michelle as everyone calls her, hails from Davao City. A Registered Nurse by profession, she been member since 2015, and has served the community in different roles from being a Member of the Board, member of events organizing committee while also serving as an officer of The Philippine Nurses Association of Tennessee.

Mr. Lance Jamias RN, BSN
Public Relations Officer

Lance is currently a Nurse at Georgetown Medstar Hospital in Washington, DC. He feels privileged to serve as the Public Relations Officer. While he and his family are from Davao City, they now reside in Bartlett, TN. He has been involved with FILAMemphis Inc. throughout his youth starting as one of our performers and now works with the executive board in planning our events, and involving more youth members to join and serve.

Mr. Ryan Corcoran
Logistics & Safety Officer

Ryan is an active duty Navy veteran who enjoys building projects and working '“behind the scenes” at all of our FILAMemphis, Inc. functions. As one of our logistics officers, Ryan joined the association in 2016 and is a key member who provides regular mentorship to our youth and services to our FILAMemphis, Inc. organization.

Mr. Eddy Finley
Logistics and Safety Officer

Edward, “Eddy”, currently serves as a Safety and Logistics officer. He hopes to use his time in this position to help improve the organization and complete the goals we have set. He enjoys getting to know other members of the community and being an active member alongside his family. They have lived in Memphis for seven years, and been active members for the last four. He thanks the community for allowing him to serve you in this position.

Ms. Michaih Bayani
Chairwoman

Michaih “Kaya”, is a second-generation Filipino-American and has been an active FILAMemphis, Inc. member since she was a young girl. She has maintained her Filipino roots by participating in the organization’s events as an angel, a Reyna, and performed in various cultural dances. Currently serving as the Chairman of the Board, Kaya is utilizing her legal background and 10 years of non-profit experience to serve the community. Aside from her FILAM responsibilities, Kaya is currently in law school where she is studying under a JD/MBA dual-degree program. She hopes to make FILAMemphis, Inc. a home for people like her who had to combine both her Filipino and American cultures.

Mr. Ley Beyani

Ley Bayani is a Director of Rehabilitation at a skilled long term care facility, experienced in managing LTC Rehab Facilities with multi-disciplinary teams. His clinical background in Physical Therapy and 25 years of experience in management and leadership has been a privilege and a foundation to serve others. He has served the FILAM community in the City of Memphis for the past 12 colorful years as a parent, and officer - serving as Past President from 2015-2018, and member of the Board of Directors 2013-2014, and 2019-2022. He is married to Bliss Barby Mahinay and they have two beautiful daughters, Michaih and Meghan.

Mrs. Rochelle Morris
Member

Rochelle has been a part of FILAMemphis, Inc. since 2015. She performed duties as Educational Committee co-chair (2015-2018), member of the Board of Directors (2017-2018) and as a Past President (2019-2020). She currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors. She designed and sewed the Filipiniana dresses for our various Philippine Cultural Presentations. She also choreographs our youth’s cultural dances. She hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy and currently works in a nursing home setting.

Ms. Valerie Javier

Humanitarian Committee Chair

Val Javier has been a member of FILAMemphis. Inc, since 2015 and has held various roles as a project volunteer, committee member, committee chairperson and as an elected officer. She is currently serving as a member of the Board of Directors. She enjoys serving the community through the various FILAMemphis projects and would like to see the organization as a channel of support and networking, not only for the new Filipinos who have made Memphis their home, but also for our more settled members. She aims to establish and strengthen links with other agencies and organizations both locally and in the Philippines. She is currently working as a Physical Therapist at an outpatient clinic in Oakland, TN.

Mrs. Marilyn Adams

Marilyn “Malyn”, has been a part of FILAMemphis, Inc. since 1993. She currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors, and has been involved with various other non-profits in the City of Memphis. She currently works at Gould’s Day Spa, where she has been for almost 20 years. She also works part-time as a nurse at Hope Primary Care. She is originally from Tagbilaran City, Bohol, Philippines.

Mr. Brian Lowery
Member

Brian has been a member of FILAMemphis since 2016 and has been a Memphian for over 30 years. He is married to long time member Yvonne Sievert-Lowery. Brian and Yvonne have 5 children as a combined family. Brian most recently served as the Treasurer for FILAMemphis. He is the Chief Credit Officer for BankTennessee and also serves as the Lieutenant Governor for the Louisiana, Mississippi, & West Tennessee District of Kiwanis International.

Mr. Raymond Geronimo
Member

Ray was born in Valenzuela, Philippines and had served the US Navy 1990 to 1995, and as a US Navy Reserve from 1995 till 2011. Ray, his wife Cissy, and daughters Zoe and Lily are active members of FILAMemphis, Inc. Ray works for the Memphis Police Department and is a member of the MPD Special Operations TACT unit and Bomb unit. He enjoys running, shooting, and biking. He hopes that FILAMemphis, Inc. will stay strong and united for current and future generations.

Anthony and his family are from Davao City. He is a supply chain analyst by profession. He has volunteered his time in the past with his photography skills. They have two sons, Lance and Leander. All are active members of FILAMemphis Inc.

Mrs. Barby Mahinay
Ways & Means

Bliss Barby Mahinay is from Consolacion, Cebu. A Physical Therapist by profession for the past 31 years specializing in the field of geriatric rehabilitation, she has been an active member of FILAMemphis, Inc. since 2011. Barby has shared her Filipino culture to her children by involving them in the different cultural and social activities conducted by FILAMemphis, Inc. She has served the FILAM community and organization in a variety of roles contributing to the success of different projects in collaboration with its officers and “T3”. She is married to Ley Bayani and they have two beautiful daughters, Michaih and Meghan.

Mr. Roy Alinsub, PT, DPT
Sports

Roy is a physical therapist from the Gold City of Tagum in Davao del Norte, Philippines, and is currently residing in Southaven, MS. He and his family has been involved with FILAMemphis since the mid-2000 and have participated in some major events of the organization. Roy was the chairman of the Committee on Election (COMELEC) for the 2020 FILAMemphis election of officers and currently the chairperson of the Sports Committee. He continues to work on promoting fellowship and camaraderie amongst Filipinos through athletic programs and physical activities of the FILAMemphis, Inc.

Mrs. Cielo Remorque, PT
Education

Cielo and her husband Edwin have been active since 2008. Her vision is for her children and other FILAM kids to grow up understanding and embracing our Filipino culture and heritage. Her children Joshua, Nathan and Erin have all been part of FILAMemphis, Inc.’s activities and community programs growing up. They continue to enjoy and be part of our programs together with the youth and young adults groups to this day - and to her, that is the fulfillment of her vision. Cielo is the co-chairperson for the Education Committee since 2014, and continues to serve our community through our fundraising events and annual family activities. She and her husband are from Santa Rosa, Laguna and currently live in Germantown. She is a physical therapist serving out veterans. She loves to travel and explore new destination, enjoys the warm company of friends and family and finds peace at the beach and outdoors.

Mrs. Laarni Landicho, RN
Education

Laarnie Landicho and her family have been active members since 2016 and is currently the co-chair of the education committee. As the co-chair, she believes that a children’s education does not only happen in school nor in the house, education also comes from the community in which they are involved. Learning about Philippine culture would be of great value as they connect with their community and learn about themselves. They also learn crucial social skills as they involve themselves in the events and gathering held. She is a registered nurse from the capital of the Philippines, Manila. She received a B.S. in Nursing and has been in the field for 25 years.

Ms. Vivian “Vian” Labilles
Humanitarian Co-Chair

Vivian “Vian” is from Quezon City and a Physical Therapist specializing in the Acute Care setting. She has been an active member of FILAMemphis, Inc for about 20 years now. She was a Comelec member in the last election and currently a Co-chair of the Charitable Program Committee. She is married to Jun Labilles, a former FILAM logistics officer and have two children, Arielle-Irene and Justin-Ivan, who has also has been volunteers & participants in past organizational events.

She envisions FILAMemphis Inc. to continue to grow in faith & number while continuing Filipino cultures and traditions not just at home but thru the community while ‘home away from home’.
